Will converting PNG to JPG reduce the file size?
For photos, usually by a lot. For simple graphics with few colors, the difference is smaller and sometimes the PNG is already smaller.
Does it change how the image looks?
At the quality we use (90), photos look the same to the eye. Very sharp text or thin lines may show slight softening, which is normal for JPG.
