1. Who we are

ConvertKiwi ("we", "us") is operated by Thiago, an independent developer in Florida, United States, at convertkiwi.com. For any privacy question, write to contact@convertkiwi.com.

2. Data we collect

• Files you convert (images, audio, video, PDF): used only to create the converted file. Uploaded files are deleted as soon as the conversion ends, and converted files after 30 minutes. PDF to image conversions happen in your browser, so those files never reach our server.
• YouTube links: used only to fetch the video's public captions. The resulting transcript is kept in the server's memory for up to one hour so the same video isn't fetched twice, and it is not linked to you.
• Technical data: like most websites, our server records basic information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it to keep the site secure and to stop abuse, for example by limiting how many requests one address can make.
• Your language choice: saved only in your own browser (local storage) so the site opens in the same language next time.

We don't have user accounts, and we never ask for your name, email or payment details to use the tools.

3. Cookies and advertising

ConvertKiwi is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and to other websites. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.

You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

4. Other services we use

• Fonts: the site's fonts are served from our own server, so no font provider receives information about your visit.
• YouTube: the transcript page shows the video with YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set cookies once you play the video.
• Hosting and transcripts: our hosting provider runs the servers. If YouTube doesn't return a transcript directly, we may ask a transcript provider for it, and it receives only the video link.

5. How we use data

We use data only to: (a) run the tool you requested; (b) keep the site running securely; (c) show ads, as described above; (d) meet legal obligations.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the services listed above and only as far as they need it to work, or when the law requires it.

7. Children's privacy

ConvertKiwi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, in the European Union or in U.S. states such as California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you. Because we keep so little, most requests are simple: write to contact@convertkiwi.com.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this page.
