Which files can I transcribe?
Videos in MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV and AVI, and audio in MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, OPUS (WhatsApp voice messages) and FLAC, up to 100MB and 5 minutes.
How accurate is the transcription?
Very accurate for clear speech in common languages. Names, brands and technical terms are the usual mistakes, so read the text once; you can correct it right on the page.
Can I get the text with time stamps?
Yes. Turn on "Time stamps" to see when each paragraph starts, or download an SRT file with the exact timing of every line.
How is this different from the subtitle generator?
It uses the same speech recognition, but this page gives you the text as paragraphs to read, copy and edit. The subtitle generator is for putting the text on the video itself.
Is my file private?
Your file is used only to create the transcript and is deleted from our server 30 minutes after it is finished.
